CANYONLANDS

This national park certainly lives up to its name. It has some of the most amazing canyons I have ever seen (Grand Canyon included). Within seconds of being inside the park, you come across this beautiful view.
(Click on photos to enlarge.)
After taking about a 10 mile hike, UPHILL, you come
across "Mesa Arch". The view through the arch is magnificent.
(The hike was really only 0.5 miles - just seemed longer)

These two ravens were following me waiting for me to die!
(I would have been a hefty meal for them!)
More views of the park and the canyons

Those 3 blocks at the top left actually
serve a purpose; they guide hikers along
the way (I never get that far away from
the parking lot to have to use them!)

I thought this was very interesting;
the cactus growing in snow!

As the sun starts to go down . . .

My day actually started off with a return
to Arches National Park. I had missed
these two arches.
